Resize an image to exact dimensions

Set the pixel size you need, keep or unlock the aspect ratio, and download a real resized image. Transparency is preserved unless you choose JPEG.

Your files are processed in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.

Steps

  1. Add an image and check the source dimensions shown under the preview.
  2. Type the width you need; with the aspect lock on, the height follows.
  3. Choose contain, crop or stretch and set an optional KB cap.
  4. Resize, then confirm the reported dimensions before downloading.

Questions

What do contain and crop mean?

Contain fits the whole image inside your target box, adding background if the aspect ratios differ. Crop fills the box and cuts the overflow from the centre. Stretch forces both sides and can distort the image.

Does resizing up lose quality?

Upscaling cannot add detail. A small image enlarged will look soft. For print or forms, start from the largest original available.

Can I limit the file size as well?

Yes. Set a maximum KB and the engine will step quality down, then dimensions if needed, and report honestly whether the cap was met.

Is the aspect ratio locked by default?

Yes. Editing one side updates the other. Uncheck “Keep aspect ratio” or choose a preset to set both freely.
