Form photos

Resize a photo for a form

Common photo sizes are preset, but the exact numbers that matter are the ones on your form. Enter those, set the size cap, and verify the result before submitting.

Your files are processed in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.

Before you submit

  1. Read the photo requirement on the form: pixels, format and KB range.
  2. Pick the nearest preset, then correct the numbers if the form differs.
  3. Set the KB cap to the form's maximum and keep the aspect ratio locked.
  4. Download and open the file — check the face is not cropped and the size is inside the allowed range.

Form photo questions

Are these official form sizes?

No. They are widely used starting points. Government and exam portals publish their own pixel, DPI, file-size and sometimes background requirements, and they change. Check the portal you are submitting to and type those exact values.

Which KB cap should I choose?

Use the number printed on the form. If the form says “between 10 KB and 50 KB”, set the cap to 50 KB and check the result is above the lower bound too — very small photos can fall below it.

Will my photo get stretched?

Not unless you choose Stretch. With the aspect lock on, the height follows the width. Contain adds background rather than distorting, and Crop trims the edges.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Decoding, resizing and encoding happen in this tab. No image data is sent over the network.
